Dave, are you sure you're looking at the correct pictures?

http://204.0.73.209/LGM/headers/headerpic1.jpg
http://204.0.73.209/LGM/headers/headerpic2.jpg

The TPIS headers have a 18" and a 19" primary respectibely. The LGM headers have 32" primaries on both sides. If that's only slighly larger then you're saying the wheel-to-wheel headers are 64" long?

Godspeed,

You beat me to the punch.

David F,
Our headers are just as long as the Wheel to wheel headers. Our headers fit with AC installed. and we have AIR tubes on our headers. You know my style from World Challenge, and you know I would not leave anything on the table. The best any header, and I mean any header, will do against our LG Motorsports headers, will be to match what we have done.
I didn't win 3 championships by leaving anything on the table. We may even build a C5 for the Speedvision, World Challenge again, and go and beat up on PD and the boys.

David, You will get the same or more performance out of our LGM long tubes,at a much lower price than the W to W headers. On my G-7 Corvette, we gained 27.5 rwtq at 4500 rpm OVER the TPIS. What could you have done with that last year??

OK, here's a question for all you C5 header experts:

I have a customer that want's to retain the cats and go with long tubes. How is this accomplished? Which brand is better suited for this?

in due time - we are putting together a flyer for the PRI show (11-26/12-1) which will unveil them. Once the photos are available, I will post them.

Also, i didn't mention - the headers and h-pipe are to be sold optionally by themselves also (as opposed to with the optional SLP cats/x-pipe). This gives the customer the option of using stock cats/xpipe or SLP cats/xpipe

earlier in this thread someone mentioned the problem with the AIR tubes Cracking on the TPIS headers. As of their most recent prodution run this will no longer be a problem! For more information call TPIS or MTI.

Better check the Corvette Forum. There are a few more people with the same problem popping up recently....

Can't the slip fit be welded up to make sure there isn't any leaks?

I happened to stop by the SLP facillity last week and got a peek at their prototype LT header system for the C5.....VERY impressive. They are stainless steel 1 3/4' primaries, with ceramic coating, 3" collectors, feeding a 3" Y pipe with a crossover. That in turn exits into custom high flow cats, (You could actually see through the cats) and then the intermidiate pipe which also has a REAL crossover pipe, not like the factory 1/2 " tube. There will be NO cutting to install this complete system
I was also impressed with their state of the art facillity. These babies are definitely going on my car, can't wait!!

Ive been sweating this c5 LT issue to death over the last 3 months, and it seems the Lou and LGM are bringing on the best design and quality. I do expect a 2k$ price with cats though, since you will not be able to use the stock cats.

I guess Ill just have to save up a little. I spent some time talking to Lou about the headers and he seems to be covering all the bases and working off of the goods and bads of other designs. Evolution? ;-)

Ive got the SS to play with and get ready for the Open Track Challenge so that Im "occupied", but Im certainly doing alot of "sideglances" at the progress of Lou's headers.
One case where I think it will be worth waiting.

I hear the Smaller primarys on the TTS are better for low and mid range torque.
