Brakes My 99 just turned over 24k miles and will turn 3 years old in May. I'm looking for a cheap way to get a little more out of the brakes, which probably has the original fluid <img src="gr_emb.gif" border="0">
Here's what I'm thinking:
Slightly better pads
Goodridge or Earls stainless lines
Proportioning spring
Flushed and bled with Dot-4 fluid.
What do you guys think?

Re: Brakes Hey Eric, I did some basic brake upgrades recently too. I installed some new stock rotors and pads (I got them for free) along with Goodridge SS lines and Motul 600. A good basic upgrade. If you're looking for aftermarket rotors/pads without buying the expensive Baer/Bremo/Wilwoods type kits, I would go with some Baer Eradispeeds rotors and some Hawk pads. As far as the proportioning valve goes, I know DRM makes one that "levels out the car under braking" but I personally like the stock proportioning. I also installed a set of Speedbleeders that make bleeding the brakes very clean and easy.
