Looking for $/hp mod list
I'm on a path to eventually supercharge my C5, and would like to make cost-effective mods along the way that I don't have to throw away, when I SC the C5.

That does sound like a good idea.
C5_inSiliconVly_v1.0 - I'm going the SC route too (probably ATI) later this year.
Here's what i would do:
1) Cat-back exhaust of your prefference
2) Cheap intake to hold you over until you get the SC.
3) Underdrive pulley
4) LS6 intake
5) Longtube headers
6) SuperCharger(the kit should contain everything you need to install it including new injectors) followed by Dyno Tunning.
I'd do it in this order (which goes from cheapest to most expensive except for the cat-back which should be the first mod you do). There are a few other things you can do if you want to squeeze out more HP/TQ from the SC like: Ported LS1/LS6 Heads and a good SC Cam.

I'm curious about your list...
> 1) Cat-back exhaust of your prefference
Is there a big difference between cat-back and new mufflers only? I have a flowmaster muffler set, not quite cat-back. I love the noise except for a 2500rpm resonance. On a previous Porsche Turbo 944, I found on a turbo setup they actually reduce flow.
> 2) Cheap intake to hold you over until you get the SC.
I do have a blackwing intake. But no other mods past that. I am curious as to what parts are best, and that can be reused.
> 3) Underdrive pulley
Hmm, saw one for sale that didn't fit with an SC setup.
> 4) LS6 intake
Agreed.

Agreed.

A before/after test after each step would make for nice records.

I am curious about cam/springs/valves/porting also, and when a radiator or other beefing is needed.
Also, are clutches included with any SC kits?
Secondary items of curiosity - Big blocks, nitrous.

No real difference. I too have Flowmasters.

The blackwing is actually a good one.....but i'm not sure if it'll fit a SC's intake tube.

My bad. I was thinking about cheap mods and forgot about the SC.

A cam isn't necesary but will give you more HP/TQ when coupled with a SC.

Unfortunetly no.

It might pay to be putting some money in the tranny, suspension, etc.
