Default Cam and header install on C5

I am thinking of buying a C5 now that my Lightning is pretty much sold. I used to own a 99 WS6 6 speed, and I would like to know how difficult it is to put a cam in a C5 LS1 compared to a Ws6 LS1? Also, how hard are headers to install in a C5, which brands fit the best? And what kind of times can I expect out of a C5 with headers, catback, tr 224/112lsa cam, nittos, and a tune? Thanks, Matt

Overall, it's easier to install a cam in the C5 than an F-body (I modded my 1999 Camaro SS before I sold it and bought the 'Vette) except that you have to remove the rack & pinion assembly which is a PITA.

Headers are much easier to install in the Y-body as opposed to the F-body. I recommend the QTP Tri-Y headers or the Kooks. I believe they both fit very well.

Thanks for the help, what kind of times can I expect to get with that combo, asuming good track conditions and a good driver.

Heads/cam vettes run Low 12's High 11's all day and its not too hard to get them even faster.
