What does a C5 weigh???

What does a C5 weigh??? What does a hardtop, coupe, and convertible weigh???
I am really thinking of putting the Z28 with a simple heads/cam/N2O set-up and I would really like to get me a C5.
Any info would be appreciated...

Re: What does a C5 weigh??? I weighed my '98 MN6 coupe last week... With less that 1/4 tank of fuel and about 10 lbs of misc stuff in it, it weighed 3220 lbs...

Re: What does a C5 weigh??? Strangely, all things being equal, the convertible is slightly lighter than the hartop. I forget, maybe 15-20 lbs lighter. Why? Because when the C5 was designed it was designed to be a convertible. Unlike other cars in which they design it as a hardtop but have to add heavy reinforcements to make it into a convertible.

I was thinking of getting into a coupe so I can still have the top off for some fun in the sun, but this changes things completely...

Life at the strip in a convertible can be tough... rollbar required for those running 13.99 and under <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0"> Most of get by with sympathetic tech inspections provided you have a helmet.

Coupe- 3246 lbs.
Convertible- 3248 lbs.
hardtop- 3173 lbs.
