Just lowered the C5 Wasnt as hard as i expected, and the car looks great. I will post some pics soon. Its about 1"lower in the rear and around 3/4 of an inch lower in the front

Re: Just lowered the C5 If you cut the bushings down a bit you can get it slammmmed.

Re: Just lowered the C5 Yes, the ride characteristic changed, and i must say, much for the worse. Im gonna prolly put the bushings back in. It rides very bumpy in the rear. Front is not too bad, but rear sucks

Re: Just lowered the C5 likely because your shocks are bottoming out.
In jmX's car above, the car did not bottom out at all because Bilstein Sports were installed. They are designed to accomodate for lowering.
I might recommend s set of Billstein sports from a www.corvetteforum.com mall vendor thats also a sponsor here...

Re: Just lowered the C5 Even with Bilstiens if you go past 1" you'll have the same "bumpy" rear. The only solution if you go beyond 1" is to cut some of the bump-stopper off of each rear shock. This will give the shock more travel thus smoothing out the ride in the rear.

Re: Just lowered the C5 Well, i put one of the bushings back in, still have one out, and the car rides MUCH better. Just like stock. It is now lowered about 1/2 inch. Still looks good, and no more bounce <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
