Default Your thoughts on a solid roller setup

I'm thinking about yanking my current cam installing a solid roller.

Any ideas on the pros and cons or gains?

I drive my car A LOT, a couple thousand miles a month almost it seems. Going solid roller means there is going to be a bit more preventative maintanance. Changing springs a bit more often, Having the heads fitted for larger springs (if you haven't done that already), setting valve lash every once in a while, etc.

If you dont drive the car much then I'd go for it. Its a costly conversion though from what I've seen. Definitly have somebody thats done a solid roller LS1 do your car up....from what I remember when people were first starting to try it on the LS1, some strange issues were happening. Didn't SW's car go back to MTI 3-4 times before the setup was finalized?

Oh yeah, and I meant to ask, what is your exhaust setup? Cats? No cats? Catback? Cutouts? Xpipe? Which headers?

I'm kinda shooting for 400rwhp through cats. Dunno if I'm gonna make it there at this rate though.

I dynoed 425.6 RWHP and I've yet to add to the underdrive pulley, increase the timing from 23 degrees to 26 degress, and lean out the fuel a bit.

I'll do the above before doing anything else. I want to see how much extra I ca get out of the current setup before trying anything else.

Why bother...Stealth99..has his H/T with 6 speed running 10.71 @ 130 mph yesterday at E-town, NJ so if you can run that fast in July with a hydralic roller, why change to solids ?
