Need DIY Info on AC Delete Please.
You'll probably have to fab some parts for the accessory drive after you remove the compressor.
You won't have much defrost/defog either.
How much weight do you think you'll save?
Save all the bits; you'll need them to sell the car, IMO.
First step is disconnect the battery, by the way.

I really want this car LIGHT I weighed it at the DOT Certified scales(stock,1/4 tank fuel, nothing removed) 3240 lbs.w/driver. 3060 lbs.just car. Now I would like to take 80 to 100 lbs. off! Thanks, Cecil

Why the big concern with 80-100 lbs on a Z06?
If you are like me, I could afford to lose about some of that; say 25 lbs. A couple other suggestions:
Don't run with more than 1/2 tank of gas: that's about 55 lbs saved over full. Never carry a passenger; in fact, remove passenger seat, empty glove box and console compartment, leave the tire fixer stuff at home, and lose the carpeting. That should get you the 80+ lbs w/o removing the A/C, especially if you dress light. It's lots easier, too; well maybe not the weight loss thing.
Of course bolting on 13-15 hp should accomplish about the same thing for power/weight.
Little know method: run Helium instead of air in your tires. Hydrogen is lighter still, but remember the Hindenburg!
Why the obsession with weight in about the lightest production supercar around?
