Updated info for SLP long tube headers

SLP has made some changes to their C5 long tube header packages. They will be offered in the following configurations -

Headers to stock converters

and

Headers to SLP high-flow converters - must use part $ 30064 or 30065 X/H-pipes to complete

Other options are -

X-pipe with resonator to stock converters

and

X-pipe with resonator to SLP converters

and last is -

H-pipe with balance tube to stock converters

or

H-pipe with balance tube to SLP converters

Will SLP be offering a 100% bolton solution? All the bits look like they still need to be welded together.

Is FLP still the only 100% bolt on header set for C5's?

We now have more infomation and detailed color pictures available for each of the componients of the SLP C5 long tube header package. They can be found in the C5/Z06 exhaust section of our website. There are about 5 slots left for our introductory pricing!

From the leader in late-model GM performance comes the ultimate in C5 header technology. The product of months of testing and development, these long-tube headers employ our patent-pending tuned-length design to optimize exhaust scavenging for phenomenal power increases. Gains of up to 35 horsepower and 47 lb.-ft. of torque are possible, depending on your application!

SLP's Tuned-Length Long-Tube Headers are constructed from 409 stainless steel and feature 1 3/4" primary tubes flowing into a 3" 4-into-1 collector. They're fully compatible with all stock emissions-control equipment and use OEM flanges for a perfect fit and proper bolt retention.

Notes: Headers require SLP H-Downpipe and Header Installation Kit (not included). SLP High-Flow Catalytic Converters optional. Not legal for use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles

I can attest that the quality of these headers is first class. The fit and finish couldn't be better, and the power will speak for itself. I went to the SLP's from the RK Sports and just today got my personale best ET...11.98 @ 113.73, and this is with a bolton car....NO internal mods. I know these headers helped push me into the 11's. So if you are thinking about headers you just may want to check these out. OH, and the price ain't bad either <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

OK I HAVE A QUESTION HOW CAN YOU GET 35 HP FROM THESE HEADERS ON A ZO6 IS THIS TRUE DO YOU BACK THIS UP OR IS IT A SUPER MODDED CAR AND ALSO IF THEY WERE EASY TO INSTALL SPEED SHOPS WOULDNT CHARGE A 500 DOLLAR INSTALL HOW HARD ARE THEY REALLY

The gain is listed as being up to 35hp. This would be on a modified car. We usually see about 25hp from long tube headers but haven't done any specific testing with these yet. Also haven't done an install into a C5 yet so I can't comment on that. $500. to put long tubes into a C5 is on the high side.
