Default Nov. 3rd. is next West Coast Corvette Challenge!

Our next WCCC drag racing event will be on SUNDAY, November 3rd. at the Los Angeles County Raceway in Palmdale. Take a shot at beating our defending champion - Mike Villeneuve!

This is more of a test and tune day so we hope to get many passes and to enjoy the lower e.t.'s that cooler weather will likely bring.

Our event will utilize the same format that our drivers seem to enjoy: test and tune, and heads-up racing at the beginning of the race-day, a single bracket-race in the afternoon , and concluding with an old-fashioned four-car shootout for low e.t.

The total fee for our event will be $ 35.00. Of that amount, $ 20.00 is payable to the track at the gate and $ 15.00 goes to the WCCC at our registration area in order to help defray at least some of the costs in putting on these events. Cash only, please.

The gates will open at 8:00 a.m., and tech opens up at the same time. After you pass tech, come over to the WCCC area (will have a canopy) so that you can register for the event. After that you can get ready to start doing some test and tune, and some friendly heads-up racing that will all begin at 9:00 a.m. As with all WCCC events, you must pass the tech inspection to race at LACR. At around noon, we will start our eliminations. We hope that our drivers will get in at least two to three passes before we start eliminations We will know the time that eliminations will start for us when we see what the car count is and then know how many rounds to plan for.

Now is a good time to go to your favorite tuner! Several of our sponsors attended our last event including Shawn from LAPD, Al from MMS, and John Nelson from Vette Magazine - who originally came to write an article for the mag from the perspective of a first-time drag racer at our July event, and now he has been bit by the drag-racing bug. John is now a WCCC regular! Shawn brought his own C5 and raced in the event. This has inspired Al from MMS to do the same - should be a great day for all!

REGISTRATION is simple. Please e-mail me, Gary Brown, (gfbrown@worldnet.att.net) and let me know if you think that you would like to attend or if you have any questions. I will respond as soon as I can – usually within 24 hours. Since at least half of you will get a First Round Winner trophy, please let me know in advance so that we have a fairly good idea of how many racers will be showing up and therefore how many trophies to purchase before the event. If you have any friends who may also be attending, PLEASE encourage them to send me an e-mail too. Many thanks in advance!

For this event, and all of our events, a number of our sponsors are offering gift certificates and/or trophies as well as products and services for a number of our event awards and trophy categories!
