I just received the C5 FLP headers my 2002 Z06. I'm having considerable difficulty getting everything lined up underneath.

With the cats clamped to the headers, and the intermediate pipes clamped to the cats, I can't get the x-pipe on. The intermediate pipes are about 1/2" too wide to slide the x-pipe over, and I can't get the two pipes to come close together enough to make it fit. If I clamp the x-pile to the intermediate pipes first,I can't get the odell (sp?) style clamps to seal up properly, because the intermediate pipes won't sit flush against the flange on the cats. I'm able to clamp them down without them being flush, but they leak severly when I do this.

Do you guys have any advice on how I can get the pipes to line up and have everything seal up properly?

Thanks,

One of the intermediate pipes has a bend in it. Are you sure that its turned the right direction to line up?

That may be so... although if it is it's too subtle to see. Unfortunately, because of the way the O2 sensors plug into the I-pipes, there's only one way that the pipes can be turned.

... I'll go out to the garage right now and see if it swapping the pipes around helps at all.

Thanks

Leave everything loose in order to line everything up. Once you get it lined up, tighten everything down.
