Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!!

Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!! The car is a C5 '99 with DRM stroker engine with Big radiator.
It was running fine with 200 in trafic with a/c on and 100 outside temp. Then suddenly one day the coolant temp going up to 225 in same condition.
What I did is I flushed the radiator and change the coolant to a Prestone coolant after the flush.
I was very happy because the problem was fixed completely. But it was running very cool again (like 180-195 maximum) for about a month and half because TODAY I notice the same problem...
In idle and mid day with a/c on and 110 outside temp, the coolant temp go up, and up, and up to 230....
I don't know what's going on...
Do I need to change the coolant evry 2 months??
I checked the fans, relay, thermostat, everything except the water pump, but it isn't leaking anything...
So what really happen in my case??
I'm just frustrated because I thought I solved the problem...

Re: Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!! First of all make sure that nothing is obstructing your Radiator. You could have picked up a large plastic bag or something. Second of all I assume your fans are working? third, check to see if your coolant is circulating in the radiator. Lastly, take a Thermometer and check the coolant in the radiator to your gauge in the dash to be sure they are in sync. Your Thermostat may be hanging up too. Hopefully you can get it figured out with those tips. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!! Those numbers are exactly what you should be running until you reprogram your pcm to turn the fans on at 190f and off at 175. My 2000 FRC does the same thing and it has nothing to do with what motor mods you have done but what pcm mods you need to do. LS1 Edit or Hypertech Power Programmer III will fix this for you.
