Whats the weight difference between a regular C5 and ZO6 Whats the difference in weigth between the C5 and the ZO6. I know the ZO6 is lighter but by how much? 100lbs? 200lbs?

Re: Whats the weight difference between a regular C5 and ZO6 i think its 118lbs but when i weight my car its 3090 lbs without front sway bar 3075 so its quite a bit lighter maybe its cause my wallet is lighter their not cheap ....

Thats part of the reason I am looking at a C5. I ca only imagine it with modern technology. <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />
I am kinda waiting to see whats up with this new C6. If the rumors are corect (yeah I know thats a big IF) it will have an all aluminum frame weighing in @ ~2800lbs and V.V.T valvetrain. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Re: Whats the weight difference between a regular C5 and ZO6 My friends coupe (not FRC) weighed in at 3190 with a 1/4 tank. Mine couple (again, not FRC) weighed in at 3240. Both cars had no driver in them, mine has 40-50lbs of stereo and active handling while the other one didn't. I beleive a guy was there with an FRC, and it came in at 3140.
So, depending on the car, a Z06 is 100-200lbs lighter assuming its 3040-3090lbs.

To have the best of both worlds you can mod either one to completely stomp a Z06. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

There are going to more fine honies in the Z06 versus the regular ol' C5. In light of this, they stiffened the suspension, reduced excess weight, and added HP to make up for the extra passengers and then some. The real world weight difference between a C5 and a Z06 (I know the Z06 is a C5, but that is a different story) is negligible because, in a regular C5, you're driving solo. In a Z06, there will always be the additional weight of one or more 110 lb hot chix riding shotgun or in some other position <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> based on my personal experince <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" /> on the other hand (haven't tried this part yet, but would like to), as the honies try to fit in the back, the weight goes up even higher, but you should get better traction...It is a good thing we those engineers at Chevy have it all figured out for us
