Default rearend strength?

Hello, I had no other idea of where to post this, and I thought that some of you corvette guys might have experience with C4 vettes. Here goes, I have a 2000 LS1 out of a firebird that is going into a 1955 chevy with a Paul Newman Car creations conversion(C4 corvette suspension front and back). The rearend is out of a '85 vette that had an auto so it is a positraction 2.73 ratio dana 35. Will this rearned withstand the added weight(full steel 1955 two door sedan) and added power of the LS1? <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
Thanks

I suggest you go find a C4 forum (corvetteforum?) and see what others are running on the C4 rear end. Doubt you'll find too many with experience on this in here.
