382 and a 150 shot
I have a few questions about this guy who has a C5 with a 382 and a 150 shot and it is a six speed. It is a basic 382 with 11.0 to 1 comp. and hydraulic cam.It is a full weight C5 and claims to run 11.17 at 131 on the motor and 9.60's to 9.80's on the bottle. He wants to sell the car and I am interested in it and want to know if he is B.Sing,Can any of you Nitrous junkies please tell me what that car should run with the setup and what cars with the similar setup are running? Thanks in advance guys

If you are seriously considering this car, then I would want solid proof of its ability. A dyno should definitely back up his claims. I still think what he is claiming is a little bit beyond the capability of his set up. He should be near 650-700rwhp to run those times and that is if it is extremely well driven. And 11.17 on motor should be in the 450-500rwhp which I guess could be possible with his engine. There are H/C LS1 vettes that are in the 10s with 475rwhp. Again these are very well driven and very well prepped cars. I guess his claims are possible but maybe not that probable.
A sprayed 382 claiming what he's claiming doesnt seem out of the question, but if theres no proof, i say walk away. Altho low 11s on motor and mid 9s on spray seem a touch far fetched...but like FLYNLO said earlier, its possible but not probable
Is this an automatic or manual?

Look what it took the 3 MTI 6 speed cars to get in the 9's. 422 + 150 shot.

But I know that some other people claim that they are running similar times to what you have stated and using similar setups.
