procharged c5
i have a customer of mine who wants a little more power of of his 2000 c5. he previously had mid leangth headers and a corsa exhaust installed. it looks like we are going with the ATI procharger kit (most likely the P1sc model).
My question is, with a good set of slicks (26x10.5x16 et streets) and clutch (Cartek), what kind of quarter mile times should we expect? Ive installed a d1sc on a frineds f body and I see mid 11's all day long (usially I'm the one driving)....will we have similar results with the vette?
finally, for a stock engine, is the d1sc worth it? i guess the real question is whether or not the stock engine can even take the extra boost from the d1sc.
it looks like i will have ed wright program the pcm.
thanks guys....as you can tell, i'm new to forced induction f bodys

Good Luck
i do have ls1 edit...thats how i tuned my car. ill prb do the same for him.....
we will use a warlboro pump from ls1 speed and 42 lb lucas injectos (they are actually the same ones i use in my gmc syclone truck).....
any idea on some quarter mile times?
thanks <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
And the motor "should" be able to take about 10psi stock, altho since your going to upgrade the fuel system, theres one less variable you've got to worry about. Now the next "main" thing will be compression. If you want to run some good boost #s, you'll have to get forged pistons w/ lower ratio's then the stockers. But, 8-10lbs should be alright

<strong> Really, 10psi? Do you run that much? Have fun picking up bits of piston out of everything.

I do know people that are doing it but I would never run that much unless I had budgetted new internals when they go. I have a buddy running 10psi in a ZO6 and is putting down 587rwhp!!!!! But, man, he is on the ragged edge. Haven't talked to him in awhile either to get a progress report. I think 8psi is about as much as you want and 5-7psi seems to be more normal. And, yes, you should see mid 11s easily(and about 450-500rwhp) with a proper set up. Just realize that slicks and a clutch still leave some other "unhardened" parts(ie.tranny, halfshafts) unprotected. Have fun and good luck.
