Default Synchro Mesh, recommended?

I have an 03 Z06 and have heard great things about Synchro Mesh fluid. What are your experiences with it and do you recommend it for these transmissions?

Thanks.

I switched to it from Royal Purple ATF. Shifts smoother, less gear noise. I'd recommend it.

I thought it was made for manual transmission cars? Anyone else have experience with it?

I have also heard great things about that stuf. I know that all the other SVT and Import guys LOVE this stuff, So I am assuming it is great ****. I have also heard to NOT use the friction Modifier, this is a no no!

Yup, I'd change over to it if I were you. Shifts smoother. Less tranny noise. Don't see any downsides to it.

I'm happy with Mobil 1 syn ATF. The m12 in the Z06 is good with just about any good ATF...

Here are a few suggestions.

Some folks have said they felt the mobil 1 was too slippery. You might look for any posts from Rodney (Crashed 94) on Corvetteforum.

I talked to Rodney awhile back, he likes the Valvoline Mercon 5 synthetic blend. he also said that the GM synchromesh works well too. I'm going to switch to Royal Purple synchromesh and try that.

From what I understand syncromesh is not approved for the m6 transmissions that call for Dexron in the owners manual. I believe it will void the warranty if you use anything other than Dexron.

The Redline D4 fluid is supposed to be very good.
