I have a 01 slp ss with a few mods and it ran 8.20's at 89 mph and i want to race a stock zo6 that a guy i work with has but i want to know what im getting into. What do that the race will be like?

He's lighter and has more HP than a stock SS but you have to be more specific on your mods. SLP option cars are not really modded much above a stock SS, just the suspension and exhaust right? Odds are in his favor but who gives a dam, I would run him if I were you.

If he know's how to drive he should run atleast a high 7 in the 1/8th between 92 and 94mph.
Maybe alittle faster but if he's not very experienced at the strip you'll probobly win with a low 8.

If he's any kind of driver, you're going to have to do better than 8.2x's to beat him.

I say race him!

I have seen more than one Z06 turn a high 13 in the quarter.(Retard drivers)

Sounds like you have some seat time in your car and your 1/8 mile mph should work out to about 110-112 traps.

If driver skill is equal and you both get a good launch your gonna loose but if he can't drive your gonna put up one hell of a fight.

It will be fun regardless!!!

If he's stock, then he'll do mid to low 12's easily. I've seen a lot better times then that. It's all in the driver. I've seen a bad driver in a Viper hit a 13.50 in the 1/4. Again, all in the man behind the wheel...
