Our 88 Vette was proably one of the worst optioned Vettes in terms of performance. It had a 2.53 rear end with an auto.
We ran it bone stock at Porter and it ran 14.67 every time. You could have bracket raced the car it was so consistent. We added a set of flowmasters, a test pipe, a hypertech chip, hot water bypass, K&N filter, and cranked up the base timing. The car responded by running 13.9's. Best time was 13.89 in the dead of winter @ HRP.

C4 corvette 1/4 sucks How about the 3 speed Automatic with Overdrive? Easily 15.5+ as you found out. Sometimes reality is HARSH.
Test a STOCK 1995 C4 automatic in Denver, CO elevation. The C4 Corvette will run a 16-17+ second quarter mile at best.
Japanese Super cars like the Supra, 3000gt vr4, 300zx, rx7 for the ERA were SUPERIOR engineering.

Yes, all I am hearing is time "inflation" because well, it's a Corvette LOL. The LT1 was okay. The LS1 was a little better but IT DEPENDS ON THE TRANSMISSION.
How about the 3 speed Automatic with Overdrive? Easily 15.5+ as you found out. Sometimes reality is HARSH.
