What you're asking for is an oppinion. As we all know, drivability and such is very subjective. I've been in a supercharged C5 and it was very smooth. Definitley a world away from the aggressive heads/cam car that you're in now. You can't go wrong with it. Plus, with 500Hp on tap, you're bound to have some fun. But if you're looking to turn super quick 1/4 mile times, for some reason, I see these cars repeatedly run lot times. I think it's a traction issue.

What you need to do is to find a local Corvette meet and get a ride. That is the ONLY way you can be sure. If you're going to be spending that much money, a test ride would be the only option.

A blown C5 is a great car if you are safe and avoid going too far.....

You could get a 03-04 Z06 to 450-500 rwhp easily with any of the forced induction kits on the market.

If you go over 7lbs of boost you will be asking for trouble(Forged motor rebuild)

My car feels very smooth and soaks up the 460rwhp nicely.I am more than pleased with my magnachager and have absolutely zero reservations when it comes to beating on the car or taking it out of town.

The car ran a 11.80 @ 121+ with 445rwhp on a very conservative launch.

If you keep it simple and can stand living with 450-500 rwhp a blown Ls6 is great in stock form.

well I can stand driving the power!!!!!!!!!I drive a cam, on off clutch, and locker now so this sould feel like a baby to me. a blower should be unnoticed if just say going to work or out to eat with girls or something rite? but if want to race it will run decent?
I will have the ta for reall runs at the track.

The FI kits are nice. But much different driving abilities then the H/C you are runnign like they said. Its quite alot quiter then you have now that is for sure, the Procharger is pretty quite it sounds alot like a gearing noise then anything at idle and is hard to hear other wise while driving unless you are into boost then it sounds like a jet taking off especially with teh Maggie blowers. I have a Z06 catback no cats and a FMIC ATI in my C5. I have rougly (10lbs of boost) 490 RWHP with a bad tune. This is through stock manifolds. I have a McLeod Twin disk clutch as well its on and off and has no porblem holding the power but It does not feel right to me so iot will eb gettign sold soon enough. With teh tuning avialible now its no problem to prolong your bottom end in teh LS1. Even with my tune I have over 20,000 miles with my setup with track time and I have seen 13lbs of boost on a nice cool day. But one thing about a blower car over a cam car though is that the power is just crazy as it builds, as the cam is more of a linear type power band. I could not keep my tires planted below 50 MPH with street tires. With that I tend to loose to soccer moms in thier mini vans since I get no traction. Until I get going. Its cool and all to watch as I try to go but I loose, looking cool or not it kinda sucks. I broke my rear end 360* around teh caseing at the track with nitto dr's when I did get traction.

so the blower thing will be fine for along time. by long i mean like will still get 100,000 miles out of car. and be smooth for a daily driver and have the power.
but will the stock clutch handle the street (not slicks and track just the street)

I actually had the stock clutch in mine for 15,000 miles or so. It will not hold a launch but it will hold on the street. The car acts stock until you get into boost. Which is not until the mid 3,000 RPM range. Have not known of any cars getting 100K out of thier F/I car. Does not mean it cannot be done though. The power is smooth until boost starts to come in. Andy's kit from A&A Corvette the one I have can see anywhere from 8-10 lbs of boost with teh FMIC and the 3.85 pulley. I have hit 13 lbs on a dyno run before as well. You an get around on a stock clutch, your driving will determine for how long though.

I have seen a Z-06 put down 550 rwhp on 8 psi from a procharger and exhaust mods only. And as light as it was it was absolutely MEAN! I say do it dude you wont regret it.

Mag: Nice low end, reliable, okay for the stock block.
Porcharger: Will outpower the mag, you'll need a forged motor unless you only run 5-6psi and dont beat on the car much. Crank the boost up (and believe me you will want to) and the stock block is on borrowed time.
