Default Living with two seats

I am trying to decide between a T/A and a Corvette. The GTO is my daily driver but I dont want it to be for that much longer. So I would mostly be driving the second car. I have some close friends and we all kind of do fun things together. I wouldnt want to pack them all in the GTO because they arent the most careful and clean in the world so I probably wouldnt bring them in it. So I guess does having two seats ever hinder you from having fun with you buds? I guess this question is pointed more toward people whose only car is a vette.

I love haveing only my Z06 here with me in GA. My wife has the HD F150 in Cali so no more "could you help me move this and that" or "can I borrow your truck to pick up whatever". Best of all, there is no way to taxi anyone arround because of space; it's either the two of us together for the night or solo. You really dont want to haul anyone arround anyway do you? Anyone who needs a ride can call a cab!

Well I love my friends to death. they are my family. Two of them actually are my family. My bro and my cousin. I guess carrying 1 and just following another car wouldnt be bad. None of them would want to sit in the back of the T/A anyway. Think of the vette as basically not existing. It just will not be played around with with my friends. I mean the car is fun as sh*t. I love it to death. I just dont want to use it with them and want a slightly faster car anyway. A WS6 would probably be very slightly faster and a vette just would be faster. Do you guys every wish you could just fit another person in there sometimes?

They're not your friends if they keep you from getting the Vette. If you've been hauling them around for while, isn't it somebody else's turn now?

The only time I've *really* wished it could haul more was when I found a stray lab at work one night when I was in the Vette. I didn't want leave him on the street while I ran to grab the Ford, so he got a ride in the Vette. Still getting dog hair out...

Well I love 'em like family and the ones that actually arent family are family friends. I actually havnt ben hauling them around much at all. One of them has a civic (stock thank god. He isnt a ricer) and another one has an SVT Contour so they haul everyone around most. We usually take two cars if we all go somewere. Only one of us is below 6ft and three of us, including me, weigh upwards of 200lbs. Ive ridden in many C5s and I fit well in all of them and I know they would too. None of them would want to sit in the back of a T/A anyway so I would basically have a two seater except for young kids (no kids are getting near that car) and my one shorter friend. I think I will go for a C5.

You know, I'd take the Vette over a GTO any day of the week. GTO daily driver and the Vette as a weekend car. But that's just me.

TheLSwon,
From reading your posts, I think you have already made up your mind. Go Vette!

i have had both a ta and a vette, and there is no comparison!

the vette will always win. if you get a coupe, you will have some storage room just like a ta. the back seat in a ta is worthless, so why even us the backseat as anything other than a cargo area.

the vette rides better, handles better, sounds better, looks better, built better.

but it is in a different class than a f-body, so its hard to make those comparisons.

The extra seats come in handy. I had to get use to owning the 350Z. Most the time I never have anyone with me, so I am happy with my 2 seater .

2 seats gives you a choice of picking out the hottest groupie to take along with you rather than 1 hot girl and 3 of her ugly fat friends in ur back seat....JMHO

I just moved from 4 to 2 seats (camaro to a vette). I love it.

No more cab duty for family and friends.
No more coworkers asking me to drive to lunch then complaining how uncomfortable back seats are. Man, I hated that.
I still have enough space for wife and dog (the pup is pretty comfortable in the back). No children planned for the near future, or at least I hope
I have enough space in the trunk to put all our stuff in when we go camping.
More legroom
Less surface to clean (remember, dog hair)

I love my vette, and I almost never used the rear seats in my f-bodies, but now that I only have 2 seats, there are times I really miss having two extra seats...
