this isn't a family plan.

like all the gm promotions right now don't apply to the vette, and GTO i think. This'll cover any GM vehicle.

after talking with some friends around here

what about the idea of a Viper? Used for sure! But they are seen less. same if not more power? Its more of a raw muscle car right? A vette is a little my "plush". (not to degrade it thats for sure!)

I'm goina look around a little on ebay. I mean late 90's vipers are in the 30-40's the last time i checked?

or theres always buying an older C5 and putting a Lingenfelter motor in it

A C5 is a much nicer car than the viper. The viper is much more exotic though... But I imagine cost of owner ship is MUCH higher. Dodge doesn't really care about gas mileage if you know what I mean.

The Z06 is not the plush ride like a standard vette. If you go test drive a Z06 you'll probably buy it.

Yeah, after I posted the message about the viper, I did some more searching and saw that the cost to work on those things are going to be insane. Plus the ones that are in the price range that I would want to get, are only running 13's, or some of the later ones, only have 450hp.

I PM'ed a member of this board who is a Vette salesman. I have yet to hear back from him. I was hoping he could give me some numbers on what my GMS will take out of the sticker price on a C6. Just to be curious.

What should I expect to pay for a nice 03-04 Z06? Any big problems I would want to look out for with one? I know I would probably add my nitrous system onto the car. (probably lower the shot). I would add an exhaust, which seems like it is pretty expensive for these vettes!

So I guess I'm still sticking with a Vette. I have someone who is intereted in my WS6 (haven't even put it forsale yet lol) And I'm still waiting to hear back from a guy about my Iroc.

Again, is there anyplace special I should go look for a Z06? There aren't many around me, and I'd be willing to drive aways to pick one up, if the price was worth it.

I'm still wondering how far I am away from a C6, or if i should keep on dreamin!

You could probably get an '03-'04 Z06 for about $36K. No big problems with the Z06s.
