check engine light
i duno last nihgt i was leaving this place and their was a line to get out and i was a steep hill and it was blowin some smoke not alot then when i was moving it felt like it was draining like the clutch or something
i dunno what i did i held options and it came up as QC code and i think it was like 42211 or sumthin then i pressed fuel 4 times and now it say my range is low but the gauge says i have around half a tank which i put in last night
You have to hold the options button in, while holding it push teh fuel button 4 times. It will then go through all the codes. Here is a link that helps explain it and explains you codes for yea. I printed a copy of this and have it in my car with me so I can check them everytime it comes on.

Oh and one more thing. When it comes up it is automatic. Use the fuel button to scroll up and the gauges to scroll down I believe. It will say Manual Diagonostics or something when you can move it other wise it scrolls its self and goes almost too fast sometimes if you got a lot of codes.

I dont mean to hijack the forum but i was wondering if yall could help me out, I just bought a 99' vette and it comes up on the display, service column lock, what does that mean?
Traditionally the Check Engine light appearing is to indicate a problem with
the fuel, ignition, and emission control systems.
On page 2-83 of my 98 Owners Manual it says that the Check Engine light
could appear and to avoid "Steep Uphill grades"...
I drove for 4-hours once on the Blue Ridge Parkway...up and down...my light
came on, and after I exited the Parkway and drove another 6-hours home...
on flat roads...the light simply went off. If it's really serious the light blinks,
and if really worse, you would be reduced engine power to 80mph.
