late 03's and 04's have a dificult fuel system stick with 02 early 03.

late 03/04 Z06 have "revised" fuel pump (primarily to reduce noise). Apparently some had issues trying to upgrade the pump, while others got up to 500 RWHP on a stock fuel pump. I am not sure what the early/late 03 fule system difference is exactly.

Yes, if your going to make big hp stay away from the '03/'04 fuel system upgrade is a pain on these and your wallet will be missing $$.
Check out the thread (I'll bring it to the top) on fastest Z06's and you'll see the highest percent of the top 30 are '02s, that should say something. get the car you'll be very happy.
