01-04 Z06, Which is the Best?? Hi everyone,
Im am despiratly trying to sell by 02 and 96 SS so I can get a Z06. My fahter has an 02 Z06 with 14500 miles and will sell to me for 30000, should I go for it??? My question is what is the best year(excluding the almighty06) Z06 to get??? I know the differences between the 01 and 02, but is there any real difference between the 02,03,04 Z06??

Thank you in advance. Buy your dads ZO6! The best year of any vehicle is the newest made. 2001 = 385HP, 2002 = 405HP. The 04's have better shocks, steel shift forks and some kind of different headliner, folks prefer the 02/03. Other than that, a 2002 ZO6 is the same exact vehicle as a 2004 ZO6. You will not find a better deal on a 02-04 ZO6 than what your dad has already offered you.

I probably will, but i was just wondering if they did anything special to the 04's, besides the little details. BC GM High Tech Performance ran an 11.97@119 with a BONE STOCK 04 Z06.

That 02 will do the same. Get that one, thats a good deal.

That is a good price on your fathers car..go for it..good low miles and you know the history of the car..plus no sales tax...if you want to upgrade to 2004 suspension the big difference is the shocks...smoother ride and better handling with the 04 shocks
