High Miles?

High Miles? Would you buy a 99 FRC vette with over 105,000 miles on it? The asking price is $15,000. This is what I'm looking for (99-00 FRC), and I'm willing to spend more, but I'll be doing heads and cam with whatever car I get, but if the body is in good shape, and it is and the interior isn't too worn. Would you say this is a good buy, or should I stay away from it because of the miles? Supposedly the oil has been changed religiously every 3,000 miles, and the car is really clean, no leaks/tears/fading or anything like that. But what would you do?

watch for damage but the wear should not be a problem, I just pulled the heads and cam on my 99 at 95k and could not find any problems or wear, no ridge and the cross hatching still vis in the cylinders.

There are a lot of C5 owners on Corvette Forum who have over 100k on them and they report them to still be pretty reliable. I say go for it, the money you save can go into mods. 
I tried to find a high mileage C5 to save myself some money but there aren't many high mileage cars up here since most people store them in the winter and only use them as weekend cars. So I ended up getting my 98 last summer with only 32k on it. I was hoping to find something with 100k on it in order to save another $5000. But in the end I'm glad I found the one I did, as it's been awesome.

Yeah, I'm too worried about the high mileage. I've decided to save (I'm only 21) and just replace my TA with a Z28 and build that up for awhile, until I finish school and get a better paying job.

Depends on your driving habits I can say that 15 months ago I bought a 98 coupe with 92k for $15k. Have put 25k mi. on it since and have ZERO complaints.
But it does depend on if you want a daily driver to do 20k a year, how you maintain it, what mods, autocrossing, etc.
I plan on rebuilding mine when/if it breaks (I autox, daily driver, etc.) and have bought the parts as part of the mod plan.

What would you say about a 99 FRC with 100,000 miles for $18000. The paint looks brand new and the interior had seat covers on it its whole life, so the seats look great. He says it runs great
These cars can go forever it seems but if you can find a lower milage C5 why not get one. It's a far cry from 15K but i got my car for 33K with 14K on the clock. My buddy picked up his 00 FRC for 26-28K and it had less than 30,000 miles. Trust me, if you look hard enough you will find a good low milage Vette.
