Default 8-Second Corvettes - E-Town - Pro 8 - Oct 22 @ Etown

The quickest and fastest Corvettes hit the track on Saturday October 22, 2005 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, better known as Englishtown or E-Town.

The Vette Doctors Pro 8 Shootout presented by Neverlift Racecraft features the quickest Corvettes in heads-up racing action.

You can see the twin turbo points leader 346 Z06 owned by Paul Ziajski that has clocked numerous 8-second passes, quite as a mouse but deadly as a rabid rat.

You can also see the 8-second C4 ride owned by the Mitchell brothers of which is the defending 2004 Pro 8 Champion

Also on the ticket is the Blue C3 owned by Angelo Valla who is looking to keep the wheel stander off the bumper this time and take out both the black Vettes.

Looking for more 8-second action is Paul Major who just clocked a record setting stock suspension 8.90 pass and rewarded himself by picking up a Yellow '06 Z06

A few other non-confirmed cars will be in the hunt for the 8's as well in the great October air.

We are likely to see several returning 9 and 10 second cars including
Mark Shaw’s Red C3, Bill Maloney's Black Coupe, John Carter's Blue C5 Vert, Mike Romain’s Black hardtop, and maybe even one of Alan's cars.

We may be seeing a couple of new drivers in that ET area as well.

If you think you have what it takes to race this class post here for more details.
More Class info and rules

They were rained out yesterday. I think it's re-scheduled for next Saturday. I'm sure Edgar will clarify.

Yes the race was rained out and will be run on Saturday the 29th of October at the same time.

In additions, these cars will race again at the regularly scheduled November 5th race.

I urge all you guys (and gals) that are close enough to come participate, not to just watch. There is no need to be a "racer" to take part. You will meet many cool people and make some new friends as well as see some of the fastest Corvettes in the country.
I went to 13 of them before I was able to win a single first round race now I'm a pro. Ok maybe not.

Anyway, we hope to see some new faces when the IRS corvette beats the twin turbo monster
Oh now I'm in trouble gotta go......
