C5 questions
C5 questions I have a few questions. I have tried a search but haven’t found enough info to be sure of the answers.
I bought a 2000 Corvette coupe with less than 30K miles on it.
Is the corvette engine in this year an LS6?
If so then it has the LS6 intake?
Or is it exactly the same LS1 that’s in the F-bodies?
I’m not sure what type of oil was run in it but I was thinking of going to synthetic. Any proven syth motor oils I should look for?
Is there a page that lists in detail all the various differences by timeline of the C5’s?

As for LS6 intake manifold, yes, 2001+.

You need the Z06 for the complete LS6 motor. Some f-bodies got LS6 blocks and LS6 intakes, but you still need LS6 heads, cam, springs, MAF, et. al. to be an "LS6" engine.
I wasnt trying to make it a Zo6 I was just wondering. I was told at one time ls1's came in f bodies & ls6 was the corvette engines. But that was a bad rumor someone said to me. lol. Thanks for all the help
