Default LPE GT2-3 Gains on a Z06?

Seems to be the only totally stealth cam choice, but how much gains would this give a Z06? I have seen gains of around 25rwhp on LS1's & LS2's, so my only fear is this may only add like 10rwhp over the stock Z06 cam. Anyone have or know of any real world results?

There are some dyno's floating around here of the LS6 cam vs. GT2-3. I think your guess is right in the ball park. Probably not much more than 10rwhp over the LS6. What about the cheater cam? That would give you a better gain and can be pretty stealthy if you bump the idle a touch.

I would only do that cam if I were planning a supercharger down the road.

as it is....I think the 224/224 .563 114lsa is very stealthy and in hindsight I should have gone larger.

Its a nice performance increase but as many have mentioned before...the 224/224 .563 114lsa is a little light.

I think your right, 10-15hp is about the most you could expect on your 01 ZO6, but it would be very stealthy.

Feel free to email me if I can answer any questions,

Ed

Thanks for the response Ed. That cam is a great cam for the LS1 guys...not sure if it's worth it for me personally though. Are my stock Z06 springs fine with that cam though? Like Could I just pop in the cam without having to replace the springs or anything else? What about pushrods & retainers? Stockers fine?

Yes, your stock LS6 springs, retainers, pushrods, etc will all work fine with the GT2-3

Hope this helps

Ed
