Cool Lowering a Vette question....

I remember reading somewhere about lowering a vette and all that needed to be done was to turn a bolt and it will lower.

Im looking for this because my friend just got a 02 Z06 last night and he would like to lower it a bit.

Thanks

He will need an alignment afterwards and if he wants to go lower then the stock will allow he will need Andys A&A Lowering Kit

No problem

Considering frame clearance is only 4.5" that should be an interesting ride. Stupid me, I should have realized you live on the Bonneville salt flats.

Maybe your car had 4.5" of clearance, maybe it was slightly lower before you bought it,i don't know, but thats not true at all in my case. Were do you get your info from.I have the stock "sport suspension",it was untouched when i got it 4 years ago.I still have 2.5 inches clearance, and i live in hawaii were the raods and driveways are terrible, and sharp angles.I'm just suggesting to him there is lower if one wants, and i also have zo6 wheels and tires sizes,no rubbing at all,and the car takes turns like a go-cart.Zero wheel hop at the track.

I lowered my 02Z using aftermarket bolts and bushings out back but cut the front bushings. When I got my 01, I decided to lower it but on this one I didn't use aftermarket bolts out back. I just cut the bushings down and it came down to exactly where I wanted it. I removed the front bushings and bolts completely.
