fuel gauges earlier today i was driving around and i had 3/4's of a tank then all of a sudden the low fuel came on and beeped then the manuel gauge went all the way down to, so i put $10 in and it weent back up to a full tank anyone know why it would do this

Theres 2 saddle tanks on the c5,a syhon pump moves the fuel from tank to tank to keep the car balanced while cornering.(condensed version)There is sulfer in todays gas,it gunks up the parts in the tank and gives false readings.Some folks take there car in under warranty,and they change the parts out,(temp solution),theres also a gm "flash" they will do to the PCM to mask the problem.Not good if you have a custom tune,you'll lose it.
Now,i had the same problem as you,4 years ago.I was recommended by a local GM mechanic (friend),to pour a can of BB44K in the tank.I never had the problem again.I add a can every 6 months,it's stronger than GM top end cleaner,and way stronger than a bottle of techron,only use every 5,000 miles.It also makes the cars idle purr,cleans the combustion chambers,and the entire fuel system,try it,you'll be a happy camper.
