Well,...you need them both man. But,..Since you already have DECENT headers,...i'd lean more towards the cam. Just keep in mind your gonna have to have the car tuned for the cam.

My next mod, would probably be the long tubes and X-pipe after the cam

Your kidding, right? If all you want is 2rwhp more just to say you have 400 just go dyno again. Changes is conditions alone will net you that. Now, if you are really going to spend that much money then you need a higher goal than just 400rwhp. With your numbers, there are cams with LT that will put you at 430rwhp. A certain little shop in Texas seems to come to mind (LGM).

Long tubes man. Those shorties are just going to choke the **** out of decent sized cam.

Just what MB said then. I would get a set of LG's and a real good tune to see where you are before trying to get another cam. Let us know how it turns out.

Please take no offense to this..but both your cam and header upgrade were a waste of money. I'd pull both out, and sell them. Get a set of LG Lt's and a Futral mid-sized cam..(F11 or F13)

edit: i take it back..not a waste of money in general..you DID get 398whp. But it would have cost just a tiny bit more for LT's and the same for a better cam.

You are probably right but the time I bought my shorties was 1999 long tubes were hard to come by. The cam I listen to someone who was suppose to know.......

Man i dont know what you guys are talkn about he making amazing numbers with his mods... With what i have listed below i was making 398 rwhp out of a m6!

Now the F13 is the best streetable power making cam out there in my opinion.

If i were you i do a cam bc you i wouldnt guess you would see more then 10-15 rwhp taking thoes shorties off and putting on some LTs.

.

Ya but his was tuned @ Synergy which is a Dynapak which usually shows 10% more than a roller dyno. So these numbers can't really be compared.

I personally know someone who went from a Dynapak to a Mustang dyno numbers went from 740whp to 670whp same setup

I got headers first mainly because I wanted the cam a good air intake/filter with a free flowing exaust.
Another thing to consider is that with a bigger size cam youll need a tune. To take full advantage of that tune I would recommend headers first.

I'd get headers first... It needs to breath better with that heads/cam.

But I guess if it's one or the other... like if you get headers you will never be able to get a bigger cam then I'd say go with the cam. If you think you can get headers and put the cam next on the list then do that!

The Synergy dynopak has been shown to be dead on with a local dynojet on several cars.
