I'm selling my pride and joy (Firehawk for 23-24k) and my Formula dd to cash out equity to pay for my wedding. I'm going to get a '99-'01 'vette for daily use. I plan to immediately get a Magnacharger to make me feel better about selling my other toy.
Without getting the aftermarket hood, can I use the non-ic setup under the stock hood?

No the non ic maggie still needs a new hood
If you want to keep the stock hood you will need to go with something like A&A corvette Vortec blower kit. Its good for 530rwhp on a stock C5 motor...600rwhp with cam and headers...

Most hoods are from $895-$1395..Lingenfelter uses the ACI ultra high rise hood. Cost $895 plus shipping and paint...Figure minium of $1400 for a hood installed and painted..Search on the corvetteforum for magnacharger hoods and you will find lots of pics and threads on it...
