If anyone doubts what TPiS said about the 1 3/4" headers, then read the latest copy of Engine Masters. The top dog was making way over 600 HP with some beat up, dented up 1 3/4" headers.

I'd like to see the test and results done............say in an upcoming issue of HPGM or something. But even if the TPIS's do make more power (which I doubt), how easy do they fit? I've heard nothing but good things about the instalation of LG's Headers.

i have TPIS and will stand by them 100%. they were a breeze to install. put the car on a lift and pulled it back off in 2 hours. finish on them is excellent, AIR tubes lined up perfect. for the price, i would never change. even if lg's make more power, can you justify spending that much more money? nothing against lg, or any other maker for that matter, i am just stating the extreme luck i had putting my TPIS on!

i would say yes and no...might hurt you a little down low, but make it up in the upper rpms. i would invest in a good set of heads before doing a header swap.

That's cool, and I respect that. So are you saying the headers are easy to install, or are you saying you got lucky and your install was easy? I agree that the LG headers are over priced, but the finish is great and they are high quality! I still don't think that justifies the price. But the Vette community still pays for them.........I did! But do the TPIS headers come with an X-pipe, or do you have to buy one after you get there headers? Most Vette headers come with the X-pipe, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but if I recall the test correctly the TPIS header did not make more power than the LG's til around 8000 rpm . The LG was up 20 ft.lbs around 3000 rpm or so.
