Piston slap due to cams?
- I read on one of the forms that piston slap is normal for ls1 engines and especially if you have different cams in it. is there anyhting to worry about?
- nobody really could tell me what the package that I've got is and how much power it is supposed to give you...any of you all know anything abou it?
As far as exhaust, cold air intake and cam package - the only cam I can think of that it would possibly have is either the hot cam or a LS6 cam. As far as I know, GM doesn't make an exhaust or CAI for the cars....other than the factory stuff.
I think the person selling you the car was full of malarky.
How many miles are on your car? Where are you located? Like stated above, if it's very cold where you are or you have a ring issue, which Chevrolet has a TSB on, then just to be sure, I would take it to another Chevrolet Dealer and ask what one of their mechanics thinks.
If you need more suggestions and are computer savvy, you could always make a video of your car idling and post it up here. If you need help, let me know.

Also, make sure you are using at least 91 octane gas, you may be getting some audible knock from bad gas or low octane gas...unlikely but try putting in better gas.
Thanks again for all the help guys
