Opinions...please!!!
I traded in a 2004 GTO for a 2001 C5 Corvette. ( just wasn't happy with the GTO). I had a couple of cutouts welded in place of the resonators and the cutouts coupled with the SLP Loudmouth exhaust sounded pretty mean. My questions is, on the C5 Vette, I installed a Magnaflow exhaust with an X-pipe and straight through mufflers, but I'm looking for more of a beefier sound, so can I have a pair of cutouts installed and if so, where? Thanks...

I agree, I have the LGs on my Z06 and they rock especially with the B&B bullets.

Hey T-maxx: Why do you say not to do cutouts? I was going to go with the QTP cutouts. I like the stock looking exhaust setup, but want the flow that you gain from cutouts (of course this would be coupled w/ Longtubes). I also know that our vette's exhaust is pretty good already, so do any of these other exhaust really merrit that 800+ price tag that comes from a new exhaust - that was more of a rethorical question or one reserved for a different topic/thread.
I would go with the cutouts - it gives you the flow, sounds mean (a very "raw" sound as you loose some of the resonating effect that other systems have), and allows for you to quiet it down when you need to.

If you like loud go with my setup.
Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes (get LG if you plan on sticking with stock cubes)
Kooks X-pipe
B&B Bullets
Its pretty loud. You might try just adding the Bullets to start off with. That is enough for most people

Although the setup you mentioned is LOUD,..it's not as loud as long tubes, and BORLA bullets. My car, which sounds like death...has borla catback. My cousin Josh, who has a C5R 427 with kooks, and B&B bullets, sounds WAAAAAAAY cleaner. Still loud as hell but, not as loud.
I'm told by frineds you can hear both cars coming or going for that matter, over a mile away.
Either way, I love the borla but, I would like to get the b&b bullets.
