Default 10sec. FRC C5???

what combination would it take for a stock bottom end 99-00 FRC car to make it to the tens. i am looking into buying one and i want to get some feedback from owners on what the best setup would be to accomplish this. I know a lot of guys are gonna say either turbo of blower but has anyone done it with heads/cam and nitrous and if so how long did it live. Any info would be appreciated

It can be easily done with heads/cam/full exhaust...and gears. Don't forget the tires ofcourse.

You can do it alone on nitrous to be honest but, theres nothing like the added power and how the car drives after a cam or heads and cam install.

list...
vararam. and air bridge
heads/cam or cam only
LS6 or fast intake
long tubes, probably LG's since your gonna stay at stock cubic inch
x pipe
catback
DTE stage III diff and rear strut brace
TNT F1 kit or direct port
tires.
....and last but not least,....a good custom dyno tune.

A complete ECS Novi Supercharger kit will get you there no problem with bolts on, etc., as 600 rwhp is a no brainer on a stock engine at 10 lbs of boost!

Too much boost with the stock bottom end. Stage II procharger with 6 psi. of boost would be 530rwhp definitely in the tens. You would definitely need some tires. I have Nitto's on mine what a difference launching.

Heads and Cam N/A will do it. Just use a reputable tuner that knows how to build and tune the car for the track.(like CARTEK). I have run 10.9x's CAM-only over a dozen times with a Cartek setup. With thier latest Heads/Cam packages we will likely see some low 10.4x's N/A . And that's from a full weight street car that can be an everyday driver. No stripped down track car!

WOW!! that is impressive. It sounds like Cartek is defenitly the company to go with if you are going N/A. Just think 10.8x N/A and then possibly a little nitrous on top of that.......... that would be insane.I cant stop smiling right now just thinking about it.
