37 here - just bought a C6 last week, and will be the first Vette I have ever owned. Believe it or not, I have actually not seen it in person yet - car was shipped straight to Lingenfelter for some "modifications"

I'm getting the car turned into one of their limited edition (only 25 to be made in total) commemorative edition C6s. Basically, it is their twin-turbo setup (intercooled, all their custom manifolds, etc.), a C5R block 427 with good internals, ported heads, upgraded valvetrain, etc; extensive body kit; custom leather interior; mini-tub kit with 345/35/19 tires; some drivetrain modifications .... Ultimately it is essentially a very sharp looking 725 HP smooth-idling supercar, and honestly one of the sexiest looking cars I have seen. If you go to http://www.lingenfelter.com/ you will see a link for the commemorative edition cars.

This is not cheap to do this by any means. The cost to do this, including the cost of the "base" C6, puts you into territory where you could buy a Ford GT or an SL65 But I honestly wanted something like this far more than those other options. All the same, this will easily be the most expensive thing I have ever driven. But I also think you get what you pay for. There are definitely ways to go this fast (or faster) far cheaper, but to have something this well put together and thought out (where else can you get 725 HP and a two-year warranty outside of getting a Bugatti?) and sharp looking is hard to find.

This is not to be a track or drag-strip car, but a high-end touring car that could obliterate almost anything else it came across, as long as it was from a roll. When launching this thing, I think the Pilot Sports that come with it, even at a 345 width, could be read their last rites .

58 GOING ON 17 Just bought a 2002 C-5 to replace my 540 powered 94 Lumina NHRA Super Comp car. Ran the western states between Seattle, Boise, Tucson, and Pomona for the last 10 years. The 62 Bel-Air is great for local cruise nights, but dual quads and 4.56's are a pain in the wallet to drive very far from home. World of difference between the C-5 and the 66, L-79 roadster I owned in the late 60's.

30 yrs old now. Bought my old 99 TA A4 right out of college when I was 23 yrs old, brand spanking new. Sold that car 6 yrs later and used the money as downpayment on my slightly used 04 Commemorative Coupe MN6 (1,000 miles only on it ) when I was 28 yrs old.

45, because there are no camaro's at this time and I wanted something new.
2005 C6 and I still have my 11 second 96 camaro ss.
Waiting on my Magnuson super charger for the vette to come in.
Then I should have two 11 second cars.

Seems us old guys are in the minority. I bought my first Vette in 1965 and I haven't been without at least one ever since. I'm presently doing a 54 with LS1 conversion and took delivery 2 weeks ago on a new Z06. I should say that I'm 61 years young.
