My first Corvette!! Well I finally got my first corvette. I just bought my dads 2002 Z06 for 30,000. It has 14000 miles and has been garage kept since it was new. I first want to learn how to drive the car well before I mod it up. My list anyway is as follows: B&M ripper short throw shifter, Vararam Intake, Quicktime performance headers witt high-flow catted x-pipe( ill keep the stock cat back due to its light weight), and a tune. Im hoping all this can get me into the 11's (enough to beat back those pesky snakes and skittles!

Nice car! It's already capable of getting well into the 11's. You need to go over to the z06vette.com forum and look up Ranger. He has the best times on a stock Z in the country which is 11.5's if I remember right. A friend of mine has his in the 11.7's but that is with drag radials.
Congrats on your new ride! Sounds like you got quite a good car from dad too. Get used to driving it well before doing any mods. The vararam and shifter sound like a good plan to start off with. I have a vararam and you won't believe the difference. Long term, consider the LG pro headers with RT cats as i love mine. Welcome to the club and enjoy your new car!

Congrats on the purchase.... That mod list is exatly what I have on my car right now... Vararam, QTP headers, highflpw cats and x-pipe, B&M Ripper & a tune... But this spring I'm adding a borla catback... I want a more agressive sound. Anyway, you'll love it, welcome to the club!

I don't have a Z06 but, I did have the Z06 Ti exhaust for a while, sounded great with my lg's and no cats. I just wanted a little more umph....I got it with the borla stingers. Car sounds like a friggin race car from behind.
Friends tell me they can hear my car a 1/4 mile behind me on the highway at wot.
I think I wanna get the B&B bullets though.
