c6 z06 curb weight
c6 z06 curb weight has anyone weighed their c6z06? gm has them rated at 3130lbs, and say their the lightest vette ever. but the '99-'00 FRCs and '01-'04 Z06 have been weighing around 3060lbs, which means they are lighter than the 06 z06. but, get this. my buddy received a card in the mail from GM and it states that gm advertise the 06 z06 3130lbs, but the actually weight of the car is really 2900+lbs. can someone verify the actual weigh?

1 gallon of gas = 6.5 lbs and a corvette has a 19 gallon tank
1/4 tank = 4.75 gallons of gas
19 - 4.75 = 14.25 gallons
(14.25 gallons * 6.5 lbs ) = 92.625 lbs = about 93
FRC curb weight: 3174 lbs
3174 - 93 = 3081 lbs
C5 Z06 curb weight: 3118 lbs
3118 - 93 = 3025 lbs
C6 Z06 curb weight: 3130lbs
3130 - 93 = 3037 lbs
So, actually the C5 zo6 was a bit lighter than the new Z06. But this is why you see some really low weights on this website. There were rumors before the C6 Z06 came out that it would weigh under 3000 lbs but those ended a long time ago.
