will 15 inch wheels fit
I already have a set of bogart wheels that fit my 98 camaro without grinding or rubbing. I know you may have to change the brakes but will they bolt up without hitting the suspension. They are 15x4/ 2 inch bs front and 15x10 7.5 inch bs rear. Also were can I get smaller brakes if I need them? Has anyone done this? Thanks for any help . I already have the wheels is the reason for this question. I just bought my 99 frc pewter.

on my 99 frc pewter, lol....... I had to grind the top of the ball joint cover to fit 16" rims on the rear, I tried a set of center line 15x4 on the front and the brake caliper allmost hit the tire, so that was off by a mile, just jack that b@^&h up and find out, shouldnt take more than 10min...

I have a set of bogarts for my 99. I am not sure of the sizing.
The good news, you can get the 15" front on. You will need Strange Engineering brakes and you will have to cut off the stock mounting point for the brakes to fit the strange brakes.
the rears, only guy running 15 in the rear has solid rear not IRS. I have 16" bogart, which was not a proper fit, had to get adapters to fit them.

Ok I looked at the wheels and it looks promising. The fronts will need to have heavy grinding to get the wheel to sit flush with the hub and for the wheels inside to not hit the caliper, and maybe a little off the spindle. The rears will need some grinding if the caliper and the top of the spindle. Also the bottom control arm will need alot of grinding and hopefully the top ball joint wont need much hammering and grinding. I will post some pics soon as I get it done. I looked at the car with the wheels just sitting in the wells and it looks sick like some drag car! I will post those pics of the finished product "IF" I can get these bad boys to fit.

If you can make it work, you will be giving the Vette community and whole new option.
Keep in mind I think the geometry changes with the car in the air vs on the ground.
Here is a pic of mine with a link to a very large version

I will keep it in mind today when i go back at it. Last night i ran out of cutting bits and sawzal blades. Your car looks good with your race wheels on. Yesterday too I had good news that proturbo would transfer my f-body turbo kit on order to C-5 twin kit so now Im waiting for them I was wondering if you would know about how much a 99 FRC with now option wieghs. Becuase I will no doubt drop 100 pounds with this wheel swap. Ive heard they only weigh 3050 base weight and if that is true Ill only wiegh 2950 after wheels. Also Im thinking about cutting the factory mufflers off and running jjust bullets. That bullets would be up before the rearend. When I get that done Illl post pics of that. Im going to try to run it at Moroso this weekend at the Chevy show in the Corvette Challange. Maybe they have a slow stock class for now.

The stock weight on the 99 is on the internet somewhere but I think you are right it is low 3K. I will see if I can find it.
Acutally take some pics of the progress. I would be good to see. I do the web sites for all the Corvette Challenges. Bob Mancuso is the Corvette Challenge coordinator. Be sure and say hello to him.
Twin turbo sounds kick ***. I will be watching your project.

I am amazed you got the fronts to fit.
Can you post pics of the surgery? Lot's of guys are looking for a front skinny option. If we can share your 15" wheel surgery then they will hve lots of options

OK there was alot and I mean alot of material taken off the brakes to get them on and I still had to use a 5/16 spacer just cause i got tired of grinding and cutting. The rears would have fit except for the damn balljoint.

Well I talked to Aerospace components and they said they could use my car as a templet to make drag brakes. Also called Bogart to see how much it would be to get 16 inch outer wheels and keep my centers. They wanted 600 dollars for them "WTF" I couldnt believe they wanted that much just for the outer wheels and no centers. I am going to talk to SJM tomm. The saga continous for resonable drag wheels.

Holy cow that is a lot of material off the front brakes. I presume the fins are supposed to serve a purpose. How are oyu feeling about street driving with them now? Any concern?
You know Strange makes a small brake set for the C5 right? I have them.

Yes I know stange makes a set but they want 900 for them.So thats out . I think the brakes still have a **** load of material left so Im ok . I called BMR and they are supposted to call me back about the spindles. If the spindle was one inch shorter the 15 rears would fit.I talked to my friend that does alot of welding and he refused to cut and reweld the spindle back together.I dont blame him its a big liability if it broke. Hopefully Bmr will make me something in the prospect that more people will want 15's on the back and they could use my car as the test bed for the new parts. They are only a couple of hours away so Thats not a big deal. I still have the expencive option of switching my wheels in the rear for 16's to clear. As far as the front go the wheels can go on and drive fine but I want them to use no spacers cause they already stick out about and inch. So I either have to grind more which i dont want to do ,or I have to get Aerospace thats about 4 hours away from me to custom make front drag brakes for it. Im waiting on some stuff to sell before I can shell out anymore money.I will update as soon as i can.
