Hey guys. Well I been thinking lately and I think im going to get rid of my C5 Z06 and buy a C6 Z06. Seen one the other night and fell in love with it. I love the interior in those cars. Anyways the guy punched it at the light and that thing was ******* FAST
. I want to get a red one with the gunmetal rims. I heard there is a code for those rims like G44 or something. Anyways whats do you guys think??? Get it or not???

All I know is that those cars to the normal person are SPENDY. If you have the money get it.....but unless you really just want to dump 65-70g's on a car just stick with what you have.

I'd spend 6 grand on a Procharger, and when you get *bored* with 590! horsepower add a cam, large chamber heads and turn up the boost and race again when you have 740 horsepower.
All for a lot less $$$ than the '06. The C6 cars are drop dead gorgeous, but I'd buy a Z-51 and boost it and have a car that would shame the Z06 for $20,000 less. Dump that same extra 20k (434,etc) after you've boosted and see how many "bus-lengths" you'll put on the legendary Z06.
That's just me.

If you've got the coin to throw out for a car like that, then go for it. Wish I had that kind of cash! But I also agree that you can put the spakin on one with a little boost, or a hit of fast gas. Let us know what you do though!

The C6 Z's are sweet as hell! If you like the whole package they offer and have the $ go for it. If your eyes are speaking for your wallet, do what the others said and forge/boost a c5-6 and shame the Z for at least $20k less.
Consider this:
$70k MSRP (if you for some reason can get one at MSRP)
Tax at least 6.5%
Loan for at least 6.5%
This somewhat "cheap" price for this car gets outta control pretty quick!

In my opinion your getting some good advice here.
If you've got money to burn? sure why not..!
If your just looking for a vette thats fast? supercharge your existing ride and have a party...(for a few years, then unbolt...sell and get a lower priced c6 z.........

yep i agree with most ive heard, i have driven the new z06 a friend of mine has one its a beautiful car no doubt but with just the small mods on mine the car doesnt pull near as hard as my c5 i just cant see the extra money in the new z06 also i never buy anything that comes out in the first year thats the car that always has the most problems and recalls. i always get the last year of the latest model because by then they have all the dumb **** perfected. anyway wish you luck on your choice.
