Default Spring Break Began....(Install Pics)

Just two teasers for now. Started at 2pm yesterday. I have never owned an LS1 vehicle nor have I ever worked on an 8 cylinder before, so slow and careful were the name of the game. Today I will probably get the new heads/cam in as long as the TSP LT's arrive on time. I am also pulling the ECU/PCM and sending it off to TSP for the tune. Everything has gone relatively straightforward and I would not hesitate to do this again.

Working Area.....Garage is too full

Calling it a night

I am on my dinner break: I just sent off my ECU/PCM to TSP for a nice flash. I got the heads off, steering rack pulled out, headers are off (still need to pull out H pipe to cut for the TSP LT's), got the crank bolt out. Right now I am having some problems getting the pulley puller tool I rented to actually work in prying that thing off. I think I am just gonna have to use elbow grease on it. But pretty much as soon as thats out then it's a couple bolts and then pulling the stock cam out. Here's some pics in somewhat order:

Steering Rack was a bitch

Why do I let him help?

Yep....we got the right tool for the job...

Why don't you work!

Something for LS1tech to laugh about:

Don't ask me why but TSP just now sent me the LT's and heads/cam install package so I have to wait another week to actually get the parts I need to finish. Here are some more pics:

Go get a harmonic balancer puller. crow's foot looking thing. Works better than that tool you are working with. That's for pulling gears more than pulling balancers. It will probably still work but the other one is the one you want.
