Default Help: trouble removing the stk catback

I am starting my lg pro and corsacomp Ti install. I am trying to remove the stock Ti catback w/o cutting it. I am doing it the jack stand method. I have the car up pretty high right now . I seam to be catching on the shafts. I removed the sway bar already. Looks like i might have to remove the shafts, i wonder if a lot of fluid will come out when i take them off. OR is there another way to get the exhaust off. Thanks for any input.

Shouldn't have to remove the shafts... just the sway bar... Do you have the car high enough...? Should have the Tips 4' off the ground before starting to remove it... Or your going to have clearence issues trying to take it out...

you need to jack the rear higher, simple as that, it needs to be really really high, btw, are you selling your stock cat-back?

The car needs to be at least 32" off the ground to remove the stock exhaust.

I couldn't get my car high enough so I said **** it and cut the stock Ti exhaust off with a sawzall.

I can just hear all of the people on Corvette Forum crying.... NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Here was my suicidal install, then they came right off..I was so bummed by the zo6 catback,i took it off the very next day...I had a hard time even with the rear this high,if the front was level,i wouldn't have been able to get them off,i had to have the front down to get the right angle.
The funny thing,i did my LG longtubes in the same spot,i only had to get the car 2 feet off the ground.Since the zo6 catback is not worth much anyhow,if i had to do it again,i would cut them off. It's just titanium.

it's safer than it looks, theres jack stands in front of the rear wheels, and the fronts are blocked.
That said,i usually work safer than that.A little trick was, unbolt the flanges when the car is only jacked a little bit, then jack it up to this point, and don't get under there when removing...That picture gets more looks than a naked Pam Anderson..
