frc? I am new to the corvette world... I am selling my 98 z 28 and buying a vette... now my question is, are all 99 and 00 coupes frc's or is there a differance between the frc and the regular coupe?

Im not as familiar with Corvettes but I believe FRC= Fixed Roof Coupe, and on a regular Coupe the roof panel comes off much like T-Tops. I could be wrong though.
Also, for your signature you might want to convert it from PSD to JPG, PSD files wont display, put it up on a site such as Photobucket and correct the address for it.

In 99 and 00 they made FRC's. They look like a C5 Z06 without the 405hp motor. They also made coupes and convertibles in those years. 01 was the first offical Z06. 385hp. 02 and newer they had 405hp for the Z06 .

frc's have a small back glass and trunk like z06's. coupes have the long hatch glass and removeable tops. frc's and z06's have better handling from the plant but the coupe is supposed to have a higher top speed. now this is both factory equipped. there is always a thread going what looks better but i like the frc/z06 look myself.
The frc (Fixed Roof Coupe) only came with a 6spd tranny, it has the Z06 body style, with no targa top, and its lighter by like 80 Ibs. They were only made in 99 and 00, so they're pretty rare.
FRC Interior Color Choices You could get any color interior as long as it was black.
The idea of the FRC started out as a club racer/reduced cost corvette. It ended up costing a little less than a coupe. They are all 6-spd, 3:42 rears, and not all colors were available.
They made about 2000 in 1999 and 4090 in 2000. The Z06 is the same body with the LS6 engine, MN12 trans, and TI Exhaust (thats the major differences).
I've got a Pewter 00 FRC and I love it!
