Overheating Problem ....bleh Continued from this thread, just seeing if anyone can help....

Ok so I have swapped thermostats twice. Let the system sit and cool down to 80 then try to see if bubbles show up as it idles. Nothing shows up. It's not the thermostat, the fans come on, it's NOT the head gasket. I even changed the oil and watched the coolant/water level like a hawk, I am not losing anything anywhere. I am starting to lean towards either the water pump OR a HUGE *** bubble in the water pump.
When my car was stock it would run "warm". Commonly would go to 230+ while idling and this isn't super warm weather (50-60). I think that finally the water pump just went. I can't come up with anything else at this point.

Did you check the flow through hoses and make sure there is pressure in them?
Also could be a loose connection or bad coolant tank cap. Did you try a pressure test?
If all else fails change water pump and thermostat.

Sorry I should have posted in here, I got the problem worked out. It was a big *** air bubble and I just let the car sit over night with the radiator cap off and well when I got up the next morning to install the new water pump I gave it one more go and didn't over heat.......so I am happy and everything is good now!

Not many things will get your attention more than a engine getting hot. Gives you that sick, naseous feeling in the depths of your gut doesn't it? Glad you got it worked out! BTW, mine runs on the warm side as well. I was thinking of getting a 160 thermostat w/tune to help out.
Mine is excellent man. I railed on the car for the first time today, like RAILED ON IT. Spun all through 2nd and most of 3rd, then shifted into fourth for a bit. Temperature never went above 178 and sat at 171 almost the whole time. LOVE IT.
