Default NA or FI route

ok i really want that STS kit in the summer time. im looking at 7.5k for the kit 2200k install and 1k for clutch, ls6 heads 750 and install and 150 for the tune. thats a total of about 11k for turbo route and stock bottom end for about 550rwhp. or i should i try going the NA route with a built 422 or 427 about 4k, ETP 225 or LS7 heads 2.5k, cam 450, clutch and install 1k, tune 150, and FAST 90/90 800 and intall 2000 which is total of about 10.8k for 550rwhp.
which route should i take?

Or option 2 and 3...ECS Paxton Novi 2000 $6495 for the kit including a new fuel pump. Add headers and a small blower cam like me= 617rwhp/572rwtq Second option is the A&A Vortec package..$5500 including fuel pump, good for 550-575RWHP with headers and small cam...Fiqure $1500-1800 installed and tuned. Or do the install yourself. Not that hard. I did it myself...You don't need the LS6 heads to make good power with forced induction...I am about to build a fordged 346 bottom end for mine. The parts came out to about $2200 including a new block so I can still drive my car while I build the motor. Doing all the labor myself..Going to hit 750-800rwhp with that and 15psi of boost...

i would go the blower route but my cobra has a blower on it and for the vette i'd like to try something different and go the turbo route.

The STS dynos look like a supercharger dyno because they dont hit full boost until about 3500rpm or so unlike traditional front mounted turbos. I have yet to see an STS installed on a Vette that makes full boost and low end power like you normally see with turbos. For $2K more you can get the TTiX twin turbo kit and get the low end hit of turbos and still make huge numbers up top. With any of these, figure sooner or later you will need a forged bottom...

I'd go forced induction... but not the STS route.

I've got all-motor mods and gears. Fast, but I can't wait to get my hands on a D1 kit, large chamber heads, different cam.

well i just thought of another option that is alot cheaper than the 427 and STS kit. Cartek 4x heads/cam, Fast 90/90, injectors, EWP, aggressive tune for a possible 510rwhp.

STS, TTI(Turbo Technologies), Pro turbo(custom setup), Ligenfelter(high dollar) is about it... I was really wanting the TTIX twins when I started looking, love turbos have owned alot of turbo cars, but when a compared the cost difference compared to the ECS Paxton and the power potential for both I chose ECS...The easiest way is to sit down and put on paper all the total and related costs to each one and go from there...

150 for a tune... thats cheap

if you go FI I would plan on a forged bottom end sooner or later.
It really just depends on what your goals are for the car.

I get what you're saying, but do you really need much more power under 3K RPM? My Z is pretty much stock, and I have a difficult time keeping it from spinning under 3000 RPM's as it is! I can only imagine how much rubber I'd be wasting if I had that much more down low...For me, the STS kit is a great kit; not as efficient as a Front Mounted, but if you're looking to put down great numbers, keep the engine bay cooler, and have the ability to completely remove the entire kit quickly, and without a trace of it ever being there, and have 500+rwhp on even the base kit, then the STS kit sounds pretty convincing. TRTurbo can do the whole thing; intsall, upgraded injectors, tune etc... for under 10K

Thats the route I'd be going if I had that much coin to "play" with. Just my $.02
