PICS: ls7 clutch install, McCleod master, ls6 slave if anyone has questions on the clutch/diff/trans replacement, post them
some pics from the teardown today
the car is a very rare 2000 FRC(black/black) car is optioned w/ Magnesium wheels, and the rare manaul driver's seat
here's the parts list
RPM transmissions M6
LS7 clutch, flywheel
LS6 slave, McCleod master, new pilot bearing
C6 Z06 shocks
Z06 sway bar/end links
GM slotted/drilled rotors
GM Durastop pads
rear cradle removed, dropping the torque tube low enough to slide the diff off
next up is the trans, w/ all the wiring disconnected and the shifter rod removed this is slid off the TT, the 2 dowels on each sometimes require a little prodding, GM provides external lugs for leverage
here's the tunnel w/ the TT rem'd, w/ the diff and trans off, the TT is very easy to handle w/ one person, notice the hole at the top of the tunnel for the shifter
stock 2000 clutch prior to removal, TPIS LT's needed to be F.O.M.'d(facilitate other maintenance), it's a USAF crew chief deal
, no big deal, about 10 minutes per side to remove the 6 bolts

removing the pilot bearing, notice the beveled edge facing aft
the goods
the other colorful boxes on the side will be consumed this w/e
LS7 clutch, the stocker has the typical 3 'hot spots', it's done
getting the rear xmember back to the way it looked from Bowling Green, only takes a few extra minutes to make things look mint(or close to it)
