Default she's back.

Well almost... most of you know that my car, had a problem in it's driveline.....(parts came apart, and cut threw the car). Well, thats all said and done now. The car, sorry to say, is being totaled but...I found another coupe to replace it. I bought another, WHITE FRC.... for about 9 grand less then what I payed for mine. I bought this one for 14,600 with, about 98,000 miles on it. Cars in great shape plus,...any parts that weren't good....I swapped out with another doner car, that was laying around.

I bought it on thursday....

...and that night I had the HID's/euro tail lights/my old wheels/my seats/ in the car. On saturday, I installed my front brakes and rotors, off my old car,...and I grinded/sanded down my calipers and painted them red on all four coners. Came out great by the way. I also managed to install my LS6 intake and ported throttle body....and replaced the two knock sensors that where bad in the valley. Car runs ten times better now by the way. Before, the car felt like **** but, I think it's only due to the knock sensors being tweaked, and it was pulling all sorts of timeing. Car now spins all the way through second gear.

I've got big plans,.....big plans for power. My last car made good power but, since then, the playing field down here as been stepped up quite a bit. Although my last setup was enough,....were gonna get a little crazy in the next few months.

Mod list for the week....
B&B bullets ordered....getting rid of the Corsa system on now.
Install updated vararam(I had the original, which i'm giving to a friend)..and remove this vortex rammer piece thats on the car now.
Pick up nitrous today(should hold me over before we get started on the motor work.
Heads(LS6 heads) are being ported.... and massaged. Should be crazy when done. Hopefully that will be done next week.
Decide on cam setup.....
decide on clutch setup.....

...and I need to buy some new long tubes, since mine where chopped up in the explosion.(what a waist).

I've got a ton of parts, from the old car...
LS6 block
LS6 intake
black coil packs
MSD's
DTE brace
HID's
euro tail lights
wheels
heads
cam
pushrods
rockers
hurst
ported TB
brakes

......and some other body parts.

..i've got my work cut out for me for sure. But it should be alot of fun. It's weird, cause the cars look identical,....so it's like it's the same thing. Just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY slower. And very docile. But...it'll be on par soon.

The long road is over. My car is back,..the five month ordeal is over.

I'll get some pictures asap fella's....

Thanks,...

Jamie

Great to hear that you got a new car. I noticed that the spec clutch was not on the mod list

Yeaaah man. I've had the itch like a crack head for another car. I've been working on soo many peoples cars lately,....which is cool but....not the same as when its your own car. So, you can say i've been motivated. I hope to go to the track next week.

Thanks man.

Lost a little sleep over it last night, to be honest with you.

Just swapped out my exhaust.

Removed corsa catback......

went to put on B&B bullets....factory H-pipe flange broke on the weld.....figures, dum bitch. Soo. ..... the entire h-pipe comes off.....I figure what the hell, i've got the cats off, might as well gut them. Soo, I do. fixed my flange problem, and installed everything....with the b&b bullets.

Car sounds tough but...really needs my cam and long tubes.

lol. the question of the day. Still undecided man. I might run my old cam, with the new heads that I have,.....and just save the "new" cam idea, for the other block. It's pretty much boils down to me being impatient. I wanna go fast, yesterday. Know what i mean?...lol.. . Vicious cycle. Soo. as of now, I think my LS6 heads, as soon as they are done, are going on,...with all new valvetrain,....my old cam,...and a twin fogger setup.

Cam and spray worked great before,... so heads/cam/more nitrous and alot more mods that I have now, that I didn't have before , should be better.

Get all that go go gadget stuff on the car,.....and in the meantime,...we'll build the other motor(atleast thats the plan for today)

It is,...still possible for a cam change before the old one goes in. Yes, I am retarded.

Good pickup on the BBexhaust Bullet system I have them and love it, but the neighbors hate it. Awesome for downshifting to let everyone know you have arrived.
Good luck with the new car..
