Drag Radial combo for C6 Vette

Drag Radial combo for C6 Vette Here are some photos of the new drag race wheel combo I put together for the C6 Vette. As you know, the stock 19" runflats are horrible at the track, even with stock power. They love to spin or wheelhop. Here is my solution:
17x9.5 C5 Z06 front wheels (O.E. Concepts black Z06 Motorsport style) from www.TomZwheels.com
275/40/17 Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radial tires
I went out just now and test drove the car, holy cow do these things hook on the street! It was nice to be able to floor ~550 rwhp in 1st gear for once (first time ever for me since the supercharger/cam went in)
Track times coming whenever I can sneak away and go...hopefully soon.

I have been running the MT 17" on ZR1 wheels on the back of mine for some time. You are right it is night and day difference. I raced my buddy in his 06 Viper a month or so ago and he thought he was beating me. I could not convince him I had 0 traction with my stockers on and now I cant seem to get him to line up. It will be ugly when we do line up.

Wicked, I'm not sure on 18" tire availability. Price was a good driving factor for this combo, those wheels only cost a little over $200 for the pair. TomZWheels advertised them in the wheel forum here today for $389 for a set of four. 
alg, not sure on the drag pack. Thats a nice combo too, but I don't plan on drag racing this car often enough to spend that much on those. I'd like to get my 10.x timeslip and call it done....for now

I don't plan on any hard launches at the track, I just want to be able to floor it thru 1st and 2nd. The stock tires wouldn't allow this to happen
I figure I can nail a 1.8X 60' time just by leaving easy and letting the Magnacharger do the work.

Your black Z06 is great looking. I have always liked black performance cars since my first 1966 GTO. Have a black 2003 Cobra/stock eaton big and small wheels/snow boost cooler/ level 5 drive shop axles/ 26 spline in put shaft and viper output shaft on the t-56; Spec 3 Plus clutch. Bogarts front and rear/ tubualr k-member up front/ Anderson PMS/ head work by Greg G.( you need to know him) and cams. Best time on MT ET Streets was 11:17 @ 129 and hit rev limiter in 3rd gear; kind of killed my speed; best 60 ft 1.53. Enough of that; Thinkin about getton New Z06 though; they have some unbelievable potential combined with driveability and handling. Probably the best factory super car out there. Yours is outstanding!

I do NOT like the way that 17" wheel looks, bro.
You should have gone with the BFG DRs. You can go with an 18" on those and I can put it to the floor once they are heated up.
